Adam Barley, also known as electronic artist Aphelyon, is an American producer and touring musician. His style is a soulful journey of trip-hop electronica fused with live instrument improvisation. Barley has "an interesting dichotomy," claims Charleston City Paper. "He aims for the stratosphere and gets there." Moreover, as his stage name suggests, he transforms "listeners into a different dimension from a chill ambiance" (India's Jumblebass Records Group).

Since then, Barley has been breaking through the boundaries of what truly defines an artist and the ability to express emotion artistically. With the capability to hear compositions within a single piece of music, Barley's classically trained ear allows him to blend guitar melodies with downtempo harmonies. This style uniquely engages a live audience otherwise unfamiliar.
